About me
Wayee Chu is a General Partner at Reach Capital, a venture fund investing in founders who empower people to thrive across learning, health, and work. Prior to Reach, Wayee was the co-founder of the NewSchools Seed Fund; a fund focused on early stage education technology companies with potential for a big impact in K-12 education. Wayee started her career as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley and an equity research analyst at Merrill Lynch in New York, where she covered the financial services sector. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Michigan Alumni Association (AAUM) as well as on the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) and the leadership council at the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA). Wayee also supports several Bay Area and national education non-profits and arts organizations. Wayee graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science. She is a fanatic Wolverine and Warriors basketball fan.
