About me
Steven Chanan is in his 16th year teaching at Nueva and was a Nueva student himself back in the 1970s. He is known for his passion for the subject and ability to bring together a wide variety of mathematical disciplines, such as fractals & chaos, contest math, recreational math, and game theory. In addition to teaching regular math classes at Nueva for many years, Steven has taught the popular 4th grade course Constructing the Universe (CTU), has led math competitions at the middle school, ran the middle school MathCounts club, helped run Nueva's music program, and served as Nueva's primary piano accompanist.
