Katie Kilanowski is a full-time woodworker who specializes in custom furniture fabrication and sculptural lighting fixtures. The artist attempts to bridge the gap between fine art and furniture, paying homage to the studio furniture movement. Curved lines and smooth contours reference formal elements in nature and invite viewers to engage in a tactile experience with the work. Katie believes that when beauty and functionality co-exist, amazing things can happen.
