About me
I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Social Psychology. I then attended Stanford Law School and graduated with my Juris Doctorate (JD). I passed the California State Bar and joined the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office where I served as a Deputy District Attorney for over 20 years. I specialized in prosecuting crimes against persons cases such as domestic violence, sexual assault and homicide. It was an exciting, wonderful career and I am very proud of the work I did for victims and their families.
In terms of teaching experience I took up teaching an introduction to criminal justice college class over 10 years ago so I could “pass on the torch” to those who are interested in criminal justice or possibly finding a career in it. I don’t teach any other classes because it’s my favorite topic and I enjoy sharing it. (For those of you who are interested in law school or a career in criminal justice I hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to ask me any and all questions about that). I have also been a guest lecturer at various universities, colleges, high schools and organizations and taught courses at the police academy and reserve academy concerning investigating domestic violence, crimes against children, evidence and victimology.
