About me
Born and raised in California, Christopher Melville has deep roots in education. He grew up in Willits, CA attending an alternative Montessori school founded by his parents. He went on to attend Sonoma State University, as a double major in English (Creative Writing) and Theater Arts (Dance). He has taught Montessori classrooms for over twenty years, for preschool students and elementary school students and holds three teaching credentials and an Administrative credential spanning birth to middle school. He is the originator and director of the Fanwar LARP (Live Action Role Play) program that has been running continuously for over two decades in the bay area, and currently runs LARP full time, at multiple sites and schools, teaching students the game he designed, wrote, and writes the story for. He has designed and run thousands of LARP events and continues to build all the gear, organize all the events, and run these events personally, playing numerous characters, and teaching a player base of hundreds each year, in small scale private events, to massive summer day camps. LARP is Christopher’s passion, and a form of teaching he enjoys using to illuminate topics that would otherwise be less interactive.
